Peer review for Testing Lysander from Lily Harlem: "Lysander Brock is an extreme photographer with an extreme boyfriend who takes on dangerous missions. Kyle Dawson, is much more than he seems on first appearance, he’s also dominant and determined, passionate and demanding and at times, sinfully playful. With an unusual location of the mighty jungle, complete with waterfalls and terrorists, Testing Lysander is a page-turning read that will thrill you and give you ‘ahh’ moments. The characters are as vivid as the scenery, the dynamics between the duo fascinating and the sex as steamy as the humid air. But when the going gets tough, the tough get going and it’s then Kyle shows his true colours
I'm really proud to be taking part in the hop again this year, which has once again attracted a huge amount of support. Click the badge and it will take you to the hop page where you'll find a list of all the participants. May 17th is International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia. Here's the web link: http://dayagainsthomophobia.org/ For my post, I've borrowed an article that appears on the UK's National Health Service website. Comedy writer and performer, Doug Faulkner, was subject to homophobic bullying throughout secondary school. Because of his experience, he's passionate about tackling homophobic bullying in schools. He describes what happened to him. How did the bullyi
Have you pre-ordered your copy of Testing Lysander? Pre-order is available now at Totally Bound. Here's a little snippet to tempt you... “Kyle?” “Yes, Lysander.” “You have two fingers in my ass. Are you going to do something with them or do you have a sudden case of digit paralysis? And call me Brock, for fuck’s sake!” Kyle gave an exaggerated sigh of patience. “Do you have somewhere else to be?” “I… Oh!” Brock made a sweet little squeaking sound. Kyle pressed the bundle of nerves inside his lover’s body that let him exert control with just a touch. “You have a lot to learn,” he said. “This seems to be an opportune moment for your first lesson.” Kyle stroked the silky inner walls of Brock’s
I coxed a little for one of my university crews when I was much (much) younger and it was partly my memories of early mornings on the river that inspired this book. There are a whole set of sounds and smells that come with a boathouse at dawn and I wanted to try and reflect some of that in the settings for Stroke Rate. Competitive rowers have to be dedicated, almost obsessive in their drive for fitness and technique. That strength of character is reflected in both Ben and Lucian, though in different ways. The book was a pleasure to write and it's another story I'd like to do a sequel to sometime in the future. #StrokeRate #LMSomerton #MMBDSM #MM #Rowing
Cal is the submissive character in Mountain Rescue. He's sweet, innocent and has a hard time understanding why he's attracted to Ford Collister's forceful, dominant personality. Here's a little snippet that I think sums him up well. Cal still hadn’t spoken. There was a vague idea in his head that, having been insulted, teased and now ordered around, he ought to object or at least come up with some kind of sarcastic retort. Instead, he made a mug of black coffee, thumped it down on the table in front of his demanding guest and muttered, “Good morning to you, too.” Ford took a sip of coffee and rolled his eyes. “Fuck. If I’d known you were going to produce this swill, I’d never have asked.” Ca
Thank you for inviting me to participate and celebrate the launch of your new website. I wish you every success in your new venture. I thought I’d include information on two of my recent releases. One is a short story and the other is a novel. Short Story - OPPOSITES ATTRACT Blurb: Chris and Andreas are opposites in character. Both fear the other wants to move on. Can being stranded on a mountainside in Austria resolve the doubt that is threatening to tear the two lovers apart? A little more about the story Despite looking similar, Chris and Andreas are opposites in character. Chris is outgoing and adventurous, keen on outdoor sports and adrenaline-filled activities whereas Andreas is quiet
Jo has written books that I read over and over again and that doesn't happen often. In this post we get a little insight into an author's inspiration and boy, can I see where it's coming from! Here's Jo... who has also kindly offered an ebook from her backlist for the grand prize draw. I finished a novel this week and since it is still the one that is foremost in my thoughts at the moment I thought I’d share the inspiration for My Hometown. I don’t normally listen to country music but was at a friend’s home and it was blasting through the speakers. Shortly after arriving the song Give Me Back My Hometown by Eric Church came on and I instantly fell in love with the song and before it was over
Geek vs Fireman Firstly, thank you to our wonderful host LM Somerton, who was kind enough to invite me along to this shindig J Thank you! Secondly my post headline = Geek Vs Fireman Now, this might sound like might have you imagining an epic battle with big, powerful hoses *wink* and muscular men sticking it to the loudmouth geeks that actually run the world. I can't promise you that, but I can tell you a story of a geek with a twisted, painful past and a fireman smack bang in the middle of it all. What do you do when you're a geek that got bored and hacked into places you really shouldn’t have and you get caught? Well, Andrew was offered a choice—prison or go to work for the CIA. As it turn
I would really like to thank LM for inviting me to be a part of her new website reveal – it’s an honor! I’ve been reading LM’s stories for almost as long as she’s been published, so it’s a thrill to be a part of this next phase of her fabulous writing career! In honor of this event, I’ll be giving away an e-copy of the first book in The Hampton Road Club, a 1920’s BDSM series. As long as we’re talking about 1920’s BDSM, I’ll share a naughty excerpt from the newest instalment, Mastering Love, which you can pre-order now at Totally Bound. I’ve been having the greatest time writing this series because it is set in the Roaring Twenties. None of the modern rules and contracts and Safe, Sane and C
Can you hear my dreamy sighing? It's no secret that Sean's work is top of my reading list so I was very squealy and excited when he agreed to post a little something about himself. It's near on impossible to pick a favourite from Sean's back list, but I particularly love the Shibari Auction House series. The Chess books are fabulous and my latest love is his What's his Passion novel, Love Matters. But enough from me! I Read, Therefore I Write When people ask, I tell them I write because I have to, because it’s inside me and needs out. The characters live in my head and they don’t leave me alone until their story is told. And that’s the truth, but it’s not the whole truth. The whole truth inc
Here's a great snippet from Athis Dey, Jen's latest book in her fabulous Finding Home series, which I highly recommend. Over to you Jen... Ladies and gentlemen, I’m happy to announce the book you’ve all been waiting for…. *drum roll please* Athis Dey: Finding Home series book 4 is now available! I’ve received numerous comments throughout the Finding Home series of how you all want Larken’s HEA. Well, wait no more, the time has come! I must warn you, though, Larken has had it hard and love has been anything but easy for him. His heart’s been broken, so he’s locked it up tight like a vault. But, maybe the regal Khale can break through that barrier, or will his own troubles hold him back? Hmmm,
Don't forget... throughout May all comments on the blog, tweets, shares and newsletter sign-ups qualify for an entry into the prize draw. Lots of my guest authors have contributed ebooks and there will also be signed paperbacks and ebooks from me to win. Don't be shy, make sure you get an entry (or ten!).
Hmm, inviting my friends round could have been a mistake. As you will see from this post, HK is prodding the hairy vs smooth debate. Fights will ensue! If you haven't checked out HK's books, you must... I love the Always Cambridge series but there are plenty of others to choose from. I'll even forgive her the hairy chests. Hello LM. Thank you so much for inviting me to celebrate the launch of your website with you and your readers. It’s beautiful! I love it. Here’s a little known fact about me; only about a dozen people know that I am a published writer. Even my own mum doesn’t know. Which makes things very interesting when she comes to visit. I have to fit in my authorly and sometimes smutt

Ford, one of the main characters is Mountain Rescue, is a man with a traumatic past. I didn't have a specific person in mind when I wrote him, more an image of someone strong, but vulnerable, striding across the hills. Here's a little snippet: The staff room was empty and Ford paced up and down, muttering under his breath. He was wearing walking trousers and a very fitted top with a zip at the neck. Cal found his fingers itching to pull the zip down, but he just took a seat and waited patiently for Ford to calm down. “Fucking false alarm! Six hours, four people and two tourists without the brains they were born with!” Ford’s eyes bored into Cal as if it was all his fault. “And do you know wh
