Susan is a fellow Brit and a lovely lady (I'm not making that up - we have met! Of all her books I've read so far, if I had to pick a favourite, it would be Stripped Bare, but I'm really looking forward to getting my hands on a copy of Love and Punishment too. You can catch the blurb and links at the bottom of this post.
Susan has written a great post about the music she likes and what it says about her. I'll definitely be taking the test she talks about for a future post.
A glimpse into my world and my music - Susan MacNicol
I recently did an online quiz to see what my music said about me. You can do the same quiz here:
http://www.outofservice.com/music-personality-test/
The result was that I enjoy the ‘reflective and complex music preference dimension.’
I obtained a very high score for this and apparently it tells me the following about me. I’m open to new experiences, am creative, intellectual and enjoy trying new things. Politics wise I’m a liberal. Wisdom, diversity and fine arts are important to me. Financially I’m supposed to be fairly well off and apparently I’m ‘sophisticated’. After a hard day of work, if I’m not listening to music or reading a book, I enjoy documentary films, independent, classic or foreign films. I’m also tagged as having energetic and aggressive music preferences, meaning I enjoy enjoying taking risks and engaging in thrilling experiences. I am dominant, imaginative and energetic. Freedom, independence and excitement are important to me. I like watching action, science fiction, fantasy, war and horror movies.
Not a bad synopsis actually. Apart from the fact I’m not well off, (yet), I don’t really enjoy documentaries, and I’m also not a thrill seeker, the above is actually spot on. The sophisticated tag is still being debated.
This is a selection of the type of music you’ll find on my Samsung Note Smartphone. It’s a pretty eclectic mix of music. I hate pop, not fond of rap unless it’s Plan B, love rock and Indie music, and will tolerate some dance music.

Love And Punishment
On the search for a serial killer, Detective Anthony Parglietto and Flynn Parker learn that every man must make a choice: to kill, to live, to love. FROM DARKNESS AND LIGHT Someone is leaving a trail of bodies throughout London, and Detective Anthony Parglietto is determined to end the violence. Then he’ll return to the man he loves. Tough, street-savvy, and used to dealing with lowlifes, Flynn Parker is the last person Anthony thinks he has to protect. Then the Bow-Tie Killer strikes close to home and the world turns upside down. Right is wrong, black is white, and a policeman might become a monster. But in the name of love, justice must be served. In the name of love, pain can be endured. In the name of love, a man can taste the very essence that defines him.
