Guest Author - Lily G Blunt

Thank you for inviting me to participate and celebrate the launch of your new website. I wish you every success in your new venture.

I thought I’d include information on two of my recent releases. One is a short story and the other is a novel.

Short Story - OPPOSITES ATTRACT

Blurb:

Chris and Andreas are opposites in character. Both fear the other wants to move on. Can being stranded on a mountainside in Austria resolve the doubt that is threatening to tear the two lovers apart?

A little more about the story

Despite looking similar, Chris and Andreas are opposites in character. Chris is outgoing and adventurous, keen on outdoor sports and adrenaline-filled activities whereas Andreas is quiet and reserved, fearful of heights and a wimp when it comes to anything exciting. The story explores their feelings towards each other and resolves the conflict that is threatening to tear their three-year relationship apart. The story takes place in an alpine resort in Austria at the height of summer. Chris intends to spend the days mountain biking and paragliding (and having hot sex with Andreas in the evenings) while Andreas keeps himself amused in the hotel and on ground level during the day. The story is told in six parts alternately by the two characters. Both men love their partner, but have (falsely) come to the conclusion the other is intending to move on because of their differences in personalities.

18+ Excerpt from Opposites Attract:

“That’s it, babe. Look at me.” I raked my fingers through Andreas’s hair and yanked his head back. Still leaning over the sink, he obediently stared at me in the bathroom mirror. Our blue eyes connected, pupils fully dilated with arousal. He loved it when I treated him rough like this. I tilted forward over his back and nipped on Andreas’s ear lobe. “Keep your eyes on mine as I enter you,” I purred, my breath long and moist against his heated skin.

Andreas, as usual, complied. He loved eye contact when we made love. Pulling back slightly, I stroked my cock along his crease, poised and erect, ready to push into him. Lining up with his well-prepared hole, I returned my gaze to his and eased in gently. With each inch, his eyes widened a fraction, his jaw dropped lower, and he gasped louder.

I kissed along his shoulder. “Oh yes, babe. You feel so good.”

His eyes remained fixed on the mirror—on me—as I moved in and out of his warmth. Deep, slow thrusts, accompanied by my slaps to the smooth, pale skin on his ass, resulted in groans from deep within his chest.

“Yes, harder, Chris.”

I obeyed his wish and made Andreas yelp with pleasure.

He wrapped his hand around his cock and stroked fast. “Gonna come soon!”

Grunting with each forceful push, I gripped his hair tighter, holding his head in place, and squeezing his now pink rump. Two more thrusts and I came hard inside him, moaning. My heart pounded against my ribcage, and waves of heated pleasure ebbed through me.

“Oh my God, I’m coming.” His voiced echoed around the small hotel bathroom.

I grinned. What must the people in the next room be thinking?

Andreas stood upright, his hand moving rapidly over his cock. He shot his load into the sink and squirted over the marble surround. The third and fourth jets sprayed up on the mirror and trickled down.

Despite panting loudly, we managed to giggle. “Oh babe, you’re so hot when you come like that.” I kissed his neck and eased out of him. “And being so noisy too—I love it.”

I dropped the condom into the bin and stepped into the bathtub. “Need to get a move on.” I turned on the shower and soaped myself down.

Andreas wiped the remaining lube off his crack, had a piss, and returned to the bedroom, wiggling his ass at me on his way out. I grinned at the red marks still evident on his naked butt.

Reviews from Amazon:

“I am a fan of Lily’s writing, her characters are never two-dimensional and always manage to pull my in from the start, and what a start this was! The opening scene shows our couple Chris and Andreas enjoying their holiday and each other and I must admit having read several other of her books, this upfront sexing was quite a change in style, but very welcome."

"You get the picture very quickly that as the title suggests, these two are polar opposites. Chris likes activities and taking risks, whereas Andreas is much more reserved. It seems like the only thing they have in common is their love for each other. But is that really enough?"

"I certainly won’t spoil the story for you, but these two get the chance to put their lives and love for each other into perspective and see just how much the other means to them as they tangle with their feelings and emotions."

"Lily always explores deeper than most with her characters, adding small facets to them that a lot of people wouldn’t take the time to do, but with these, it works."

"Above all, the love and mutual respect that Andreas and Chris have for each other shines through the pages and gives a well rounded short story with characters you feel yourself wanting to take sides with. Will opposites really attract? Read for yourself and find out.”

“Love it! And what a hot read. I'm one of those readers who needs really good characters and Lily G. Blunt doesn't disappoint in this regard. The main characters are just as the title suggests, opposites in every way. The author does a great job playing on this concept, making that a double-edged sword.”

PAINT THE SKY:

A love of art...

A mutual interest in art draws two shy university students together. Ben admires Vinnie’s painting of the university building, so Vinnie invites him to an exhibition of his artwork. From a wealthy family, Ben purchases some of Vinnie’s art and arranges for the artist to personally hang the paintings in his apartment.

Starry, starry night...

Ben commissions Vinnie to paint his portrait, in order to spend more time with the artist. On the night of the sitting, Vinnie fingerpaints the starry night on Ben’s chest... and they kiss. They begin a relationship beneath the night sky, God’s own canvas.

But every relationship has its ups and downs and so it is with theirs. When Ben thinks Vinnie spends too much time with a fellow artist, his jealousy drives a wedge between them and forces Vinnie into the very thing Ben dreads.

Hold tight to your dreams...

Ben and Vinnie will have to walk through fire before they can find one another again. But if they believe, and if they keep their faith in the night sky and each other, just maybe they can make their dreams of love come true.

EXCERPT:

Vinnie led me across the room, pulling me by the shirt. “Lie back on the sofa for me and I'll paint you.”

As if in a dream, I settled my head against one arm of the sofa, my legs dangling over the other end, scarcely breathing now. Vinnie knelt on the floor beside me with an open pot of paint in his hand.

Teasingly, he dipped his index finger into the dark blue paint as if it were cream he would lick off. His finger connected with my skin and he made short strokes across my chest, the coldness of the paint making me shiver.

Mesmerised by the closeness of his beautiful face, the view of the night sky through the window, and the picture forming upon my chest, I watched as dab after dab and stroke after stroke he built up a mix of shades, until a dark night sky with the moon and stars were there to be seen—a masterpiece, drying on the warmth of my blazing skin, a transient thing of beauty. His fingers skimmed my skin causing gooseflesh to ripple in waves down my arms and thighs. My nipples pebbled in response to his touch.

And when he was done, his lips met mine in a languid kiss; how our first kiss should have been—sweet, innocent, and full of promise. He pulled away, smiling down at me.

This was the beginning of something special.

Reviews from Amazon:

“Brilliant story from an equally brilliant author!”

“I loved this book and am a huge fan of Lily’s work. She manages to create characters that you just cannot help but fall in love with. Ben falls for Vinnie falls for Ben, simple right? Wrong! This pair of star crossed lovers make Romeo & Juliet look like pretenders.

"This book was my guilty pleasure at lunchtimes and I found myself totally absorbed in these characters to the point where I had tears in my eyes while reading and had to keep one eye on the time so I wasn’t late back (which I nearly was a couple of times)

“As if I have to say it, the cover alone is worth the price of this book! I am happy to report though, that you get so much more than that with this one! This is a powerful story of love and how one's emotions and insecurities can lead to the one thing they were so afraid of. I love how Ben and Vinnie interact. It is a sweet love story, with a twist in the middle that had me wringing my hands. This is what a good book does to you. It brings you into the story and lets you live it right along with the characters! I urge you to pick up this book. It isn't only a love story, it is a coming of age life story as well!”

About the Author

Lily G. Blunt writes contemporary gay romance and erotica. She loves to explore the relationship between two men and the intensity of their physical and emotional attraction. Angst often features in her stories as she feels this demonstrates the depth of the men’s feelings for each other. Lily is forever writing imaginary scenes and plots in her head, but only a few ever make it to the page—there never seems to be enough hours in the day despite having left the teaching profession to concentrate on her writing!

Lily discovered the wonderful world of m/m romance novels four years ago via fan fiction and went on to write stories in her spare time. With the encouragement of her friends and readers she decided to publish some of her work.

Lily has several self-published stories available on Amazon. She is also published with Torquere Press and Wayward Ink Publishing.

Easily distracted from her writing, Lily makes videos using clips from gay-themed movies and posts gorgeous pictures of men kissing or making out on her tumblr and Facebook pages. Lily is also an avid supporter of GLBTQ rights and advocates equality for all.

Lily lives in central England with her rather bemused husband, two twenty-something children, and a ‘mad as a bag of frogs’ Shetland Sheepdog.
