An Unlocked Mind - K C Wells & Parker Williams
Here's the story of what happened when I asked Rob and Vic from An Unlocked Mind over for an interview...
The door opened and Vic Prentiss strode in, larger than life. Behind him was Rob Daniels, his submissive. I gestured to the chairs and the two of them sat down.
“Thank you for agreeing to meet me here. I took the liberty of ordering us some fish and chips, since I promised you dinner.”
Rob snorted. “It’s Friday. Vic is always starving on Friday, so I hope you brought your credit card, because a single order isn’t going to be nearly enough.”
Vic looked like he wanted to say something, but changed his mind. “One order will be fine.”
“Oh, you can have more if you want. It’s no problem. I’m writing these off on taxes, after all.” When Vic’s eyes lit up, I hoped to hell I had enough money to pay for dinner, because Vic looked as though he was starving. “Right, let’s get to the questions, shall we? Vic, what do you enjoy doing on your day off?”
“Spending time with Rob. At least when he’s not in the corner for his punishment.”
“Does he get punished often?”
Vic glanced over. “I’m thinking about bronzing that corner. One day they’ll memorialize it and it’ll become an attraction that people from all over the world will come to see.”
“Oh, sod off. I don’t spend that much time in the corner.”
Vic’s eyebrows shot up. “Excuse me?”
A scowl from Rob. “Can we move on?”
“Okay, Rob. Do you think you turned out the way your parents expected?” The snort was as sudden as it was inelegant. “No. Not just no, hell no. My mum always thought I was the perfect child. She has no idea how wrong she was. But the time is coming where she’s going to find out, and I can tell you there will be hell to pay. My dad? I’m not sure about him. He’s quiet, prefers a no-fuss life. I like him well enough, but we’re not close.”
“I hope that works out for you.” I turned to Vic. “What do you consider your greatest strength?” Vic smiled and reached for Rob’s hand.
“My patience. Rob needs it from me, and I’m more than happy to give it to him.”
“Aw, that sounds sweet.” With a grin I turned my attention back to Rob. “What is your least favorite thing about Vic?”
“Oh, that’s too easy. He has no sense of humor. If you knew how many times he put me in the corner because he couldn’t take a joke…”
“Uh, excuse me? Did you not just get through saying you don’t spent that much time in the corner?” Rob’s eyes went wide, and he turned back to me.
“Oh, no. I want to hear the answer to mine. You told her a few moments ago that you don’t spend that much time in the corner. So, which is it?”
“I’m only in the corner because you’ve got a stick up your arse half the time.”
“And that’s going to be an hour in your spot when we get home.”
The two of them started to squabble, and I decided I wouldn’t get any more out of them for this interview, so I grabbed my things, stopped at the counter and asked them to box up the fish dinners. Rob and Vic could buy their own.

I loved Rob's story - highly recommended!
Rob Daniels is determined to prove to himself that his brother Alex got it wrong. Alex believes he found love through BDSM; Rob is certain that’s not possible. He even makes several visits to a London club to prove his point. But when he attends the grand opening of Secrets, Rob gets a shock, one that has him fleeing, vowing never to return—until he does… and runs into the brick wall that is Dom Vic Prentiss. As first meetings go, theirs is a disaster.
The more time he spends around Rob, the more convinced Vic becomes of two things—one, something is eating away at Rob, and two, he’s looking for something. Every instinct tells Vic to help him, but trying to unlock the secrets hidden in Rob’s mind requires a key. All Vic has to do is find it. Because maybe then he’ll get to see the real Rob, the man who’s scared to let go….

Meet the Authors:
K.C. Wells started writing in 2012, although the idea of writing a novel had been in her head since she was a child. But after reading that first gay romance in 2009, she was hooked.
She now writes full time, and the line of men in her head, clamouring to tell their story, is getting longer and longer. If the frequent visits by plot bunnies are anything to go by, that’s not about to change anytime soon.
